Etsy and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth announced this week the 2019 recipients of the Etsy Maker Cities grant program. Five communities (Nashville, TN; Pueblo, CO; Eureka Springs, AK; Phoenix, AZ; Columbia, MO) will receive $40,000 each to invest in programming and community development projects that support maker businesses and small-scale manufacturing.
Recast City is thrilled to be part of the Etsy team and to provide the recipients with the Recast City Masterclass to help them implement their projects and succeed in the Etsy Maker Cities program. The grantees will participate in a learning cohort will help them:
Learn step by step how to find the right local businesses for their projects.
Build a stronger, more resilient and inclusive, business community.
Refine their outreach and engagement to reach diverse small-scale manufacturing businesses into the limelight.
Build buy-in to bring their main street (or target area) back to life and grow property values.
Get coached on successful redevelopment and business development models.
